A Brief on: Spring Dale Resort, Devikulum

Spring Dale resort is situated at Devikulam in the Idukki district of Kerala(India).  Away from the hustle and bustle, this magnificent spot is located in amidst of the Kannan Devan Hills. The nearest town being Munnar is situated at a distance of about 37kms at a lower altitude. Cool, serene and picturesque this resort is indeed a retreat for nature lovers. Hues of the mountains, tea gardens, trees and flowers surround the resort. One can only feel the silence of nature which is occasional broken by a fast passing vehicle. While striding through the green meadows you can only hear the bees humming and the birds chirping and whistling to keep up the rhythm of the string less symphony. Wood peckers noisily make aware of their existence.

Bateshwar Temples: A Glimpse of Ancient Grandeur and Natural Harmony   Nestled amidst the serene beauty of the Morena district in Madhya Pradesh, India, lies a hidden gem of ancient architecture and natural wonder - the Bateshwar Temples. Built by the Gurjara kings between the 8th and 10th centuries, these small yet captivating temples once spanned over 25 acres of land, reflecting the glorious past of India's rich cultural heritage. The Bateshwar Temples were dedicated to three major traditions in Hinduism - Shiva, Vishnu, and Shakti, symbolizing the diverse and harmonious coexistence of these deities in the hearts of the devotees. The intricate carvings on the sandstone walls depict mythological stories, celestial beings, and scenes from daily life during that era, transporting visitors back in time. Tragically, the temples fell victim to the wrath of nature in the 13th century, possibly during a devastating earthquake, reducing the once-flourishing complex to ruins. For cent...

The scientist was killed..............

I had just started learning science in my kinder garten days.  Without understanding much of the subject I would still try to grasp it. Learning things by experimenting was never an option given in schools. Nevertheless I always tried to learn things by experimenting. The results of my experiments would never match with the writings of my book. Yet, I never lost the enthusiasm and came out with interesting results. I knew that I could master the subject on my own . But it would turn out to be a real nuisance I could have never imagined.  As a kid I was taught that a seed needs – air, water and sunlight. To my surprise in the very next class, when the teacher  was teaching us social studies she said that a fertilized soil helps a seed to grow........................ The scientist in me could neither agree to the results, nor the theorems until experimented. Since I was a low profile scientist, I did not have my personal study room. The garden was the only place spared to m...

my old album.............

The heavenly fragrance of the celibate earth waits for life to be rejuvenated. The first shower of the season brings life to the thirsty earth.  I sit alone, sipping my cup of coffee. And I see the drizzle outside.   My careless beauty reflects on the mirror. Time has taken hold of everything. My innocent eyes now have the glimpse of promise and trust. My loneliness has made me understand my strengths. My fears have turned to challenges. Darkness brings in new light. My eyes fall on to the old personal album that lies between my books and papers untouched. I pull it out in a moment’s impulse.  Childhood days, schooldays, college, friends, and birthdays.............my engagement...........my marriage..........  I let my thoughts flow through me uninterrupted. A sudden furore shattered my world to pieces. I battle out a reason every night. I figure out an explanation every day. It simply remains unanswered. I have treasured the album which barely holds the real picture...
